Burbank Music Center Will Celebrate its Grand Opening in the Heart of Burbank’s Media City

The Media Capital of the World is Now Home to a State-of-the-Art Music Academy with a Distinguished Faculty and Diverse Curriculum

For Immediate Release: (Burbank, CA) – On Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. the Burbank Music Center will hold a grand opening celebration with Burbank elected officials, dignitaries, community leaders, and members of media. The catered event will take place at Burbank Music Center at 903 North San Fernando Boulevard, Burbank, 91504 and is open to the public.

‘We are thrilled to open the Burbank Music Center (BMC) in the heart of media city as a world-class music academy that encourages and nurture’s children’s musical talents, creates a safe and encouraging environment, and introduces them to diverse schools of music,’ said Grigor Nazaryan, BMC Co-Founder. He continued, ‘We focus on exceptional music education with distinguished teachers, modern facilities, and a wide range of courses. This combination allows us to inspire both technical mastery and artistic expression, giving students the tools they need to thrive in today’s dynamic music world.’

Years in the making, BMC accepts students of all levels of music education. Whether a beginner or an expert musician, the academy offers courses to take their talents to the next level. Their individual programs include piano, violin, cello, saxophone, flute, vocal, classical guitar, drums, and percussion. The school’s group programs include dhol, guitar, solfeggio (ear-training), rhythm and musicianship classes, jazz harmony and improvisation, music composition and orchestration, choir, musical theater, special classes for children with disabilities, and early age music playground for children three to five years old.

‘At BMC, we take pride in having a team of award-winning educators and accomplished musicians who are passionate about guiding students of all ages and skill levels. Each teacher brings their own creative expertise, ensuring that every lesson is not only educational but inspiring. We are also dedicated to inclusivity. Our music center offers special classes for children with disabilities, where we tailor lessons to each child’s unique needs, creating an encouraging environment where they can explore music at their own pace,’ said Vahagn Ghazaryan, BMC Co-Founder. He added, ‘In addition to our strong educational program, we place a special emphasis on Armenian music culture, presenting it as part of the global music heritage. Our students will not only learn about world-famous musicians and music traditions but also gain a deep knowledge and appreciation of Armenian music.’

Founders Nazaryan and Ghazaryan envision BMC as a music academy that offers a variety of curriculum types, including classical performance, contemporary music, jazz studies, music production, music theory, world music, early childhood music, and composition, each focusing on specific skills and musical styles, allowing students to choose a path that aligns with their interests and career goals; ranging from foundational musicianship for young learners to advanced techniques for professional musicians.

Watch System of a Down (Wake Up The Souls) Live Concert in Los Angeles

System of a Down kicked off their “Wake Up The Souls” tour on April 6th at The Forum in nearby Inglewood, California to positive reviews. To say we’re fans of this all Armenian-American rock band is an understatement, especially since three of the band members attended school in Little Armenia. Having been to their live performances, we know first hand that their concerts are nothing short of an unforgettable out-of-this-world experience. The atmosphere is absolutely electric and the fans always amazingly spirited. On April 23rd, SOAD will be performing a (free) live concert for the first time in Yerevan, Armenia to commemorate the centennial of the Armenian Genocide. If their shows are this incredible outside of Armenia, we can’t even begin to imagine how spectacular it will be in Yerevan. Since we can’t be there in person, we can only hope they live stream the show so we can all participate. And if they make it a pay-per-view event (and maybe donate some of the proceeds to genocide awareness programs), we will be first in line with our credit cards.
